Eybner, Richard#
b. St. Poelten (Lower Austria), March 17, 1896, d. Vienna, June 20, 1986, Kammerschauspieler; banking clerk after World War I; embarked on his artistic career as a revue entertainer in 1927 and attended the newly established "Reinhardt Seminar" drama school in 1929/30. From 1931 to 1972 was a member of the company of the Vienna Burgtheater, continued to give guest performances after 1972. Played comic characters in performances of Nestroy's works, in classic comedies of world literature, in operettas (played the character of "Frosch" in the "Fledermaus") and in films; famous for his recitals (J. Weinheber's "Wien woertlich"), also active in adult education work.
