Böhmerwald#
Boehmerwald Mountains, low mountain range of the Bohemian Massif; its south-eastern foothills reach into Austria and constitute the meeting point between the three countries Austria, Germany, Czechia and the western part of the border between Upper Austria and Czechia in the north-western Muehlviertel (Upper Austria). The wooded mountain ridge is sparsely populated and, at the border, reaches a height of 1,379 m at the Plechý mountain and of 1,338 m at the Hochficht. On Austrian soil, the Zwieselberg is 1,163 m high and the Baerenstein (Schindlauer Berg) reaches a height of 1,077 m. Home of A. Stifter .
