Frass, Wilhelm#

b. St. Poelten (Lower Austria), May 29, 1886, d. Vienna, Nov. 1, 1968, sculptor, pupil of H. Bitterlich and E. v. Hellmer. 1938-1945 headed the college class of the Kunst- und Modeschule der Stadt Wien (Art and Fashion School of the City of Vienna) and was the official in charge of sculpture at the Kulturamt (Office for Cultural Affairs).

Sculptures for the War Heroes' Memorial at the Burgtor in Vienna; Auer-Welsbach-monument, Vienna; Schwarz tomb, St. Poelten; works left by F. exhibited in the Stadtmuseum St. Poelten.
