Hartleb, Karl#
b. St. Georgen near Neumarkt (Styria), Oct. 23, 1886, d. Friesach (Carinthia), Aug. 29, 1965, farmer and politician. Member of the Nationalrat (1927-1930 Landbund - National Liberal Party, 1949-1956 VdU Association of Independents, FPOe - Austrian Freedom Party), 1927-1929 vice chancellor with responsibility for domestic affairs. He was responsible for the aggressive police intervention when the Ministry of Justice was set on fire in the July Revolt on July 15, 1927.
