Popovici, Aurel#
b. Lugoj, Rumania (then Lugosch), Oct. 16, 1863, d. Geneva (Switzerland), Feb. 9, 1917, politician and writer. Belonged to the circle around Franz Ferdinand, the successor to the throne. Represented the Transylvanian Rumanians, pioneer of the federalist solution to the problem of the different nationalities in the Empire.
