Klimt, Ernst#

b. Vienna, Jan. 3, 1864, d. Vienna, Dec. 9, 1892, painter of historical paintings and decorator; brother of Gustav Klimt. Together with his brother and F. Matsch Sr. he created various ceiling paintings (e.g. for the theatres in Reichenberg and Karlsbad and the staircase of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna).
