b. Neufeld an der Leitha (Burgenland), Aug. 11, 1890, d. Neufeld an der Leitha, Oct. 30, 1946, politician (SPOe, Austrian Social Democratic Party). Politically active in West Hungary, 1922 sent to the Burgenland provincial administration office, until 1934 he was deputy head of the provincial government, 1945 played a major role in the reconstruction of Burgenland and became first provisional Landeshauptmann (Oct. 1, 1945 to Jan. 4, 1946).
