Dreiherrnspitze#
Dreiherrnspitze, 3,499 m, highly glaciated summit of the Venediger massif, west of the Grossvenediger at the watershed of the rivers Salzach, Drau/Drava and Eisack. In the Middle Ages boundary mark of the estates of the counts of Tirol, the counts of Goerz and the Salzburg archbishops (the "drei Herren"/three lords). Since 1919 the Dreiherrenspitze has formed the border between Austria and Italy (Italian: Picco dei Tre Signori).
