Haas, Robert#

Haas, Robert, b. Prague (Czech Republic), Aug. 15, 1886, d. Vienna, Oct. 4, 1960, musicologist, professor at the University of Vienna, 1920-1945 head of the Department of Music at the Austrian National Library, where he was co-founder of the phonogram archives; in his writings he specialised in the Baroque and in Viennese Classicism.
